  • Free zone company (FZCO)

It is like an LLC that can operate in a free zone. Here, shareholders can be corporate or individuals or a combination of both. The number of shareholders can range from 1 to 50 with a minimum capital investment of AED 1000 per shareholder.

  • Branch

As the name suggests, an existing parent company can establish its own branch company in DAFZA. Here, the business does not require share capital but rather is 100% owned by the parent company. Furthermore, its business name and activities must be the same as those of the parent company.

Can a free zone company have its office outside the free zone?

The company must be located within the free zone where it is registered. If you need office space in Dubai, you can choose to rent space in a business center and use it daily or a few times a month, depending on the package.

DAFZA is exempt from corporate tax and income tax. However, it does have a 5% import tax on goods you bring into the country and a 5% VAT on service transactions or trade in the UAE.

Dubai Airport Free Zone only provides two types of legal entities which include,
